Wow, what a week!
First of all, Women in Media would like to thank everyone who participated within our Welcome Week during September 3rd-6th, 2019. We had a Freshman Only Information Meeting and Chipotle % Night on Tuesday, our General Information Meeting on Wednesday, Speed Mentoring on Thursday, and our Instagram Scavenger Hunt on Friday.
As you can tell, it was quite a busy week, but we loved meeting everyone and seeing returning faces too.
So what's next? Primarily, Membership Applications close on September 19th. Dues are also due at the time, and are only $10 total for the entire school year. How awesome is that?
Additionally, our collaboration meeting with DGK is next Wednesday, September 18th at Grady room 412, 6:30 PM. This event will be a guest speaker event with Grady alum (ABJ '14) Meredith Dean. She has a wide range of knowledge and experience, so we are beyond excited for everyone to meet her! Ms. Dean founded The Dean's List and works closely with The Ryan Seacrest Foundation. She has several connections in major locations such as Atlanta, New York, and Charlotte. And if that's not enough to convince you, not only will you be able to meet our very badass speaker, but pizza will also be provided. What could be better?
